Volunteers Wanted: 2026 Special Events Task Force
NJRHA Announces Formation of 2026 Special Events Task Force
Call for Volunteers Seeking to Participate
In anticipation of major global and national events coming to New Jersey in 2026, including the FIFA World Cup and the 250th Anniversary of the United States, the New Jersey Restaurant & Hospitality Association (NJRHA) is forming a dedicated 2026 Special Events Task Force.
This strategic task force will bring together industry leaders, hospitality professionals, tourism partners, and local stakeholders to develop actionable recommendations that ensure New Jersey’s restaurant and hospitality sectors are fully prepared to capitalize on these historic opportunities.
The Task Force will focus on:
- Identifying operational needs and prospects for businesses during high-impact events
- Recommending workforce development and training strategies to meet increased demand
- Coordinating with state and local agencies on permitting, security, and infrastructure
- Developing recommendations for marketing and promotional campaigns that highlight New Jersey’s hospitality offerings
- Creating tools and resources to help members maximize guest experience and revenue
The Task Force will deliver its full set of recommendations by January 2026, allowing for timely implementation in advance of the expected surge in visitors and international attention.
These events represent a once-in-a-generation opportunity to showcase the strength and vibrancy of New Jersey’s hospitality industry, and the NJRHA is committed to helping our industries shine on the world stage.
Other events taking place in New Jersey include: Sail4th 250 maritime celebration and the MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia, PA.
We are looking for volunteer leaders (NJRHA members and nonmembers) to participate. The anticipated time allocation is a few hours per month. Please email info@njrha.org if you are interested in participating on this task force.
Work will begin in September.
