Human Trafficking Awareness Training for Hospitality Professionals
The New Jersey Restaurant & Hospitality Association, in partnership with PACT (Protect All Children from Trafficking), is offering a virtual training designed specifically for restaurant and hospitality professionals.
Hospitality employees are often in a unique position to recognize warning signs of human trafficking. Building awareness and knowing how to respond appropriately can help protect vulnerable individuals while ensuring staff are prepared to handle potential situations safely.
During this interactive training, participants will learn:
- How to recognize common indicators of human trafficking
- Recruitment tactics and vulnerabilities traffickers may exploit
- Warning signs that may appear in restaurant, hotel and hospitality settings
- How to respond safely and appropriately to a suspected situation
- Trauma-informed approaches to interacting with potential victims
- Reporting protocols and available resources
- Lessons from real-world scenarios and guided discussion
Participants will receive training materials and a certificate of completion.
Format: Virtual, one 60–90 minute session
